Security & Burglar Alarm Industry Awards
Gold Shield Awards for security system
reliability
Blitz security has won three industry Gold Shield Awards for the high reliability of its burglar alarm systems.
Pictured at right is blitz security Managing Partner Paul Germaine
who said of the latest award - "I am sure all of us at Blitz are
delighted to keep winning these awards and proving that we are consistently
at the top of our industry when it comes to the quality and reliability
of our systems.
It proves that our approach to product Quality is a good one and that
we continue to deliver some of the highest quality products in the country.
Coupled with our very keen pricing on new systems and ongoing maintenance
we believe we are offering an unbeatable combination to our customers."
The Gold Shield Awards are part of the Premier Awards presented each
year at Birmingham's NEC to the security installers and manufacturers
with the most reliable or innovative products and systems. The awards
are sponsored by ProActive Publications, BT Redcare and SMC (Security
Monitoring Centres).
Blitz security has won Gold Shield Awards in 1998 and 1999 and 2003.
Metropolitan Police Award
To add to its collection of awards blitz security also won the prestigious Metropolitan Police Gold Performance Award for 2001.
The Metropolitan Police analyse the number of false alarms coming from
every security company installing monitored burglar alarm systems in
the London area. The companies with the highest levels of reliability
are then honoured each year at a special presentation at New Scotland
Yard.
Police figures show that the average false alarm rate for 2001 across
all security firms in the London area is 0.94 activations per system
per year. This means a likelihood of just under one false alarm per
year from a typical system. By comparison, the rate recorded by blitz
systems is just 0.27 per system per year - making blitz systems almost
four times more reliable than the average and the best of any installer
in the capital.
Managing Partner Paul Germaine said “We believe we can now justify
the claim to have the lowest level of false alarms of any company in
Greater London. Our remarkably high level of reliability starts with
good system design, but it cannot be achieved without proper training
and dedication by staff to consistently deliver a quality product and
service to customers.
